As one of Australia’s oldest companies, our track record in helping people thrive speaks for itself. In 1840, eight people came together in a Melbourne pub to form a friendly society to help fellow Australians in times of hardship. More than 180 years later, we’re still committed to improving the real wellbeing of our members, customers, employees and the wider community.

Australian Unity was formed by the merger of the Australian Natives Association Friendly Society (ANA) and the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (Manchester Unity) in 1993. Since then, we’ve grown to an organisation of over 7000 employees across Australia, serving over 700,000 members and customers.
